Blessed be our God, the father of our Lord Jesus Christ for His unfailing love towards us in sparing our lives to witness the first Sunday in the second half of the year 2019. It is not by might nor by power, neither is it by our act of goodness, holiness or how prayerful we are. It is purely by the grace and mercy of God that we have received. Unto Him alone be all glory, honor, praise and adoration for all eternity in Jesus name. Amen.

The bible says a lot about the seventh month as the other months. The seventh month has a lot said in it that has to do with holy convocation, solemn feast, trumpet blowing and fasting etc. This is not a coincidence but a deliberate act of God. The seventh month is the beginning of the second half of the twelve months of the year, so it is the normal and right thing for people to take a stock of the first half, see where they have gotten to, what has been achieved and what lies ahead. It is also a time to review what has been done, what needs to be done and perhaps what needs to be done differently.

God calls His people to revert back to Him and have a reset of their programs and priorities. As people of God who have been granted this same opportunity of life in all of its fullness, let us seek the face of our God and present ourselves wholly to His will as we embark on the journey of this second half of the year. It is my prayer that we shall all make it to the end of the journey in peace and in joy in Jesus name.

Welcome to the better half of 2019.
